EGO Power+ Snow Blower – My Current Loadout

Minnesota-tested: my current EGO Power+ snow blower setup. Batteries, charger, performance notes, and what not to buy.

After 10+ winters in Minnesota, this year I upgraded to an electric snowblower. I've owned 2 gas snow blowers before this, and last winter ours stopped working. I also had a bad gas spill filling up the snowblower when it was 0 degrees outside, so this year I decided I had enough dealing with gas. My in-laws own this model and it has worked really for them so far. The worst thing about it is that the batteries are expensive. I haven't tried any of the aftermarket ones, but I saw this as an investment in convenience for a chore I really can't stand. Note: I did try the power snow shovel, and it is way too heavy and way to cumbersome. I would not recommend that for anything.

Here's the current build:

One product I tried that I don't recommend is the snow shovel:

I look forward to many years of use out of this thing. I'll check in mid-winter each year to see how it holds up!
